Is Event Horizon A Good Movie

This is the first book Ive read by McDonald my first exposure to him.

Is event horizon a good movie. Put a bucket on your head. But The Abyss was better IMO. Sure there were some plot and dialogue problems but there are definitely some elements that just feel doom-ish.
