Can You Soak Sippy Cups In Bleach
Ive been using that same cup for 10 years now.
Can you soak sippy cups in bleach. To kill mold in your baby Sippy cup use substances like bleach vinegar and tea tree oil. You CAN safely use a bleach solution to sanitize sippy cups. Rinse the lid thoroughly in the basin of hot soapy water.
Mind you the bleach did not actually remove the discolouration from the cup. This step is optional. Agitate the clothes by sloshing them around in the bleach water.
Soak everything in warm soapy water and your choice of disinfectant if mold is already present. You could also trying calling the manufacturer and ask what they recommend. A bleach bath should only last 10 minutes.
If the clothes have not gotten whiter after 10 minutes or if you still see stains on them you can let them soak for an additional 5 minutes. Boiling water is effective but you have to get the water to 180 degrees Fahrenheit so that the surface of the dishware gets to 160 degrees. Scrub the visible and easily accessible parts of the lid with the sponge.
Stick toothpicks into the very small or narrow parts of the sippy cups lid to force out any mold there. This is the strength of bleach water used to sanitize dishes. This will soften dried-on or sticky gunk helping you to quickly clean it off.
Just to update. When using this substance make sure to dilute them well and wash your childs Sippy cups to remove any chemical residue after disinfecting them. Make sure the water is hot enough for your sippy cups to be completely submerged.
